options in and around the Byron area. If you’re working on a low budget,
perhaps you might consider staying in Ballina, which is a 30 min drive from
Byron. Transport can be arranged to Ballina via maxi taxi. These taxis accommodate
between 10 and 13 people (depending on the vehicle) and a trip to Ballina from
Byron costs around $175 (this is less if travelling before 10pm).

Getting around Byron:
Shuttle buses run regularly from both
Ballina and Coolangatta airports to Byron Bay. Also, there are plenty of taxis
